Museum Visit

Museum Visit

We have been learning about volcanoes and survival from a natural disaster. We were very lucky to have a visit from Auckland Museum. The children's prior knowledge from earning helped them to answer questions and they also learnt new knowledge. They learnt about the different types of rocks from different volcano's. We got to feel the rocks and also sort them. We also learnt that Auckland is an active volcanic field. The children had to each choose an item that they would take with us if they had to evacuate from a real volcano.
